We started with a simple idea: make freight shipping more transparent and faster.
Galen Li, Freight Dash's CEO, relocated from China to Canada for his daughter's schooling. In
the process, he met Vivian Yu and Jing Yuan, who would later become the company's
co-founders. Their children attended the same school in Vancouver, and their meetings fostered
a common interest and vision.
Before his journey to Canada, Galen worked extensively with Yanhong Du, Freight Dash's CFO,
at Huawei. Their collaboration in optimizing Huawei's supply chain provided them with a deep
understanding of the challenges inherent in logistics and distribution. This valuable experience
would later form the foundation of Freight Dash.
Meanwhile, Galen also met Xin Su, a logistics consultant for TikTok influencers, during a project to develop tech solutions for the platform's supply and distribution channels. Xin's unique insight into logistics and distribution would become instrumental in shaping Freight Dash's direction.
Galen's vision for Freight Dash began to take shape during his time in Canada. He identified an opportunity to address the issues he had encountered while working at Huawei. He envisioned developing a third-party software solution that seamlessly integrates with various supply chains and logistics companies. This solution would offer route optimization, load matching, delivery truck tracking, and communication facilitation between drivers and dispatchers.
Freight Dash's core team —Galen Li, Xin Su, Vivian Yu, Jing Yuan, and Yanhong Du—bring a unique blend of skills and experiences. Their diverse backgrounds—ranging from supply chain management to medicine, marketing, technology, and finance—provide broad and well-rounded leadership for the company. Their collective experience spans industries and borders, offering the company a global perspective and a versatile approach to problem-solving.
